I am the Fil-Am Kicking Scribe. Well, I am one of many Fil-Am Kicking Scribes. Haha. Fil-Am means 'Filipino-American.' Kicking refers to my martial arts life and scribe, obviously, because I'm a writer. Catchy, huh? Or, corny? Baduy, as we'd say in The Philippines. Nonetheless, welcome to my website and thanks for stopping by.

At filamkickingscribe.com, you'll learn about me, primarily as a writer, but I'll also share posts about my martial arts life and other things, too. You can also check my blog,
Contemplations, by clicking the link in the menu on the left. I hope you like what you see here and do stop by again. There'll be updates on any events I attend - whether I'm hosting them or going as a guest - and there'll be the occasional contest, too. You could win a signed copy of my novel, Back Kicks And Broken Promises, which was released in February 2012 and published by Abbott Press.

I'd also love to hear from you. Just drop me a "hello, how are you?" or let me know what you think of my book or this website. Click on the Contact Me link in the menu or shoot me a direct email at
bas@filamkickingscribe.com. You can also follow me on Twitter by clicking on the Twitter button above or search for me while you're in the Twitterverse. My name there is @JuanRaderBas. I'm also a member of The Independent Author Network and Your Authors' Books and I have an author page at Goodreads. There's an official Facebook fan page, too, for my novel. Links to all of these pages can be found below or on the Back Kicks And Broken Promises page of this site.

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your visit. If you do, spread the word and share this site and my work with your friends and family.

Maraming salamat. Ingat!
